Who we are
This website belongs to Coast & Downs Roofing, 9A Wilmington Close, Brighton BN1 8JE. We decide how the personal information described here is used, which makes us its controller under UK data protection law.
What we collect
When you phone, text, email or send an enquiry through this site we keep what you give us: usually your name, phone number, email address, the address of the property and a description of the work. If you send photos of your roof, we keep those too.
The site itself does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, for security.
Why we use it
We use your details to reply to you, visit the property, prepare a quote and, if you go ahead, carry out and invoice the work. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, then performing that contract. We may also keep records because tax and accounting rules require it.
Who sees it
We don't sell your information or pass it on for marketing. It may be handled by services we rely on to run the business, such as our email and form provider, website host and accountant, only as far as they need it to provide that service.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't lead to work are deleted within 12 months. Customer records are kept for six years after the job, in line with HMRC record-keeping rules, and then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, or object to how we use it. Contact us on 07501 587996 or at [email protected] and we'll respond within one month.
